Examination management for MSBTE-affiliated polytechnics

From MSBTE timetable files to printed forms, in one system.

TestForge reads your timetable and seating files, allocates blocks and supervisors, records exam-day absentees and copy cases, and prints official forms F1 to F22.

You upload

  • MSBTE timetable

An HTML file, read for dates, sessions, subjects and schemes.

  • Seating charts and arrangement

Excel files, cleaned on upload and checked against student records.

  • QP inventory and e-marksheets

Excel files, mapped to the timetable and paper codes.

TestForge produces

  • Block and supervisor allocation

Students placed in blocks, with a supervisor for each.

  • Duty orders

Supervisor, reliever and chief orders, emailed with a delivery log.

  • Official forms and reports

MSBTE forms F1 to F22, packing slips and notices, ready to print.

Illustrative summary of inputs and outputs. Not a live view of any institute's data.

An examination cycle means keeping many records consistent.

These are the challenges TestForge is designed around. Your institute may feel some more than others.

Several source files
The timetable, seating charts, seating arrangement, question paper inventory and marksheet records each arrive in a different format.
Records that disagree
Student, subject, scheme and timetable details must be reconciled before anyone can be seated.
Seating and supervision
Students have to be spread across rooms and supervisors assigned, then both revised when staff availability changes.
Exam-day records
Absentees, copy cases and question paper packets are tracked per session and need to match what was planned.
Paperwork
Official MSBTE forms, notices and duty orders need the same details again, in print-ready form.

Six stages, each building on the last.

The order TestForge follows from files to forms. Later stages use the records from earlier ones, and your team can return to any stage when something changes.

  1. 1

    Upload

Timetable HTML and Excel files are cleaned, validated and stored.

  2. 2

    Configure

Set up blocks with room, capacity and layout, plus supervisors, relievers and control-room staff.

  3. 3

    Allocate

Distribute students across blocks and assign a supervisor to each.

    Uses stages 1 and 2

  4. 4

    Notify

Generate supervision, reliever and chief orders and email them to assigned staff.

    Uses stage 3

  5. 5

    Run the exam day

Record absentees and copy cases, and account for question paper packets, per date and session.

    Uses stage 1

  6. 6

    Report

Print official MSBTE forms F1 to F22, packing slips and custom reports.

    Uses stages 1 to 5

11 modules, grouped by when the work happens.

The stages above set the order. These are the modules your team opens within them.

Before the paper

Planning and allocation

  • Timetable Management

Import the MSBTE timetable and browse it by date and session, with subject codes, schemes and student counts.

  • Seating Arrangement

Upload seating charts for each connected institute and the MSBTE seating arrangement, then resolve student-paper mismatches.

  • Block Allocation

Define rooms with capacity and layout, then auto-allocate students for any date and session. Clear and re-run when plans change.

  • Supervisor Allocation

Keep internal and external supervisors and relievers on record, assign them to blocks and swap them when someone is absent.

  • Duty Orders

Generate supervisor, reliever and chief orders and email them in bulk, with delivery logs.

During the paper

Coordination and records

  • Control Room Management

Keep control-room staff on record for examination coordination.

  • Absent Students

Record absent seat numbers for each morning and afternoon session.

  • Copy Cases

Record unfair-means cases with seat number, paper code and supervisor statement.

  • QP Inventory and Accounting

Compare expected and received question paper packets, then reconcile opened, used and returned papers.

After the paper

Marksheets and review

  • E-Marksheet Upload

Upload e-marksheet records and map sheet numbers to paper codes.

  • Reports

Official MSBTE forms plus TestForge reports such as daily summaries, door notices and staff duty rosters.

Two workflows, step by step.

From source files to clean records

The task
Getting the MSBTE timetable, seating charts and seating arrangement into one consistent record.
Typically by hand
Files are retyped or merged by hand, then checked against each student subject list.
In TestForge
The timetable HTML is read for dates, sessions, subject codes and schemes. Excel files with stray title rows, split cells or summary rows are cleaned on upload, then validated. The seating arrangement is compared with student records, and missing subjects, extra subjects and scheme mismatches are listed for you to review. Corrections are applied only when you confirm; you can also cancel.
For your staff
Staff review a short mismatch list instead of searching for errors across files.

From allocation to official forms

The task
Seating every student, naming a supervisor for every block and producing the forms an exam center must file.
Typically by hand
Seat lists and forms are retyped for each date and session, and a supervisor change means redoing them.
In TestForge
For a chosen date and session, auto-allocation spreads students across your blocks without placing students of the same subject on adjacent seats. Supervisors are assigned to blocks and can be swapped. The same records produce MSBTE forms F1 to F22, such as the supervisor report, candidate attendance sheet and seating statement, along with door notices, daily summaries and duty rosters, printed from the browser.
For your staff
A late staff change means swapping one name and reprinting, not rebuilding the paperwork.

What changes for your examination team.

One entry, many uses
Timetable, seating and staff details go in once and are drawn on by allocation, orders and reports.
Quicker exam-day changes
Swap a supervisor, clear and re-run an allocation, or record absentees without rebuilding lists.
Duty communication without retyping
Orders are generated from the allocation and emailed to the staff named in it, with a delivery log to check.

Is TestForge an online exam or learning platform?

No. It does not deliver exams to students. TestForge organizes the work of an exam center: timetables, seating, staff duty, exam-day records and official paperwork.

Who is it designed for?

Exam centers and polytechnic institutes in Maharashtra that conduct MSBTE examinations. An exam center can host students from several connected institutes. Principals, officers in charge, examination controllers and authorized staff use it.

Which files can we upload?

The timetable is uploaded as an HTML file (.html or .htm). Seating charts, the seating arrangement, question paper inventory and e-marksheets are uploaded as Excel files (.xlsx or .xls). Seating charts are uploaded for each connected institute.

What happens when a plan term ends?

Semester, 1 Year and 5 Years are fixed-term plans, and Lifetime is a one-time payment. When a term ends, the exam-center modules direct you to the billing page to renew.

How do we get started?

Use Get started or Select Plan. You sign in or register, set up your organization and exam center, and then choose a plan. Call +91 82086 07477 if you would like help choosing.

What support is available?

Every plan lists technical support, with VIP support on the Lifetime plan. Dedicated onboarding is listed on the 5 Years plan. For anything else, call +91 82086 07477 before you decide.

How is institute data handled?

Records are stored per exam center, and signing in is required to reach them. Cloud backup is listed on the Semester, 1 Year and 5 Years plans. For details on storage, backups and who can access your data, call +91 82086 07477 before you commit.
